Fool's Gate
The Series
Prologue and the first two chapters · Released
Fool's Gate is a returning world inside Aestas Infinity. A song wants a house. The desert is offered instead. A jester stands in the corner and does not leave. The dead do not stop talking. The chapters are horizontal — one climate of lamp, sand, wet stone and black water — not a feed of isolated clips.
The prologue opens on an oasis ridge: pale flowers, a red sand-wall, a historian with no hands, a giant who already knows the faces that follow him. The Hold takes the song onto a troop-ship. The Market walks an emptied night market looking for a living name the song already owns. Nine more chapters are marked after the prologue. They will be filed here as they arrive.
How to enter
Begin at the Prologue if you want the law of the series in one ridge. The Hold if you need the lamp that will not let a recruit sleep. The Market if you can walk stalls that closed because the name was already taken. Motifs return: the jester, the song, the desert that is not a house. Explanations stay scarce.
