Synopsis
Dusk on an oasis ridge. Pale flowers. A red sand-wall on the horizon.
A historian with no hands sees the faces that follow a giant. The giant already knows they never stop talking. One came for dreamless tea. One cannot unhear a god.
The jester stands in the corner now. Nine more chapters. Horizontal.

The ridge is not a destination. It is the first place the song is refused a house. The desert is already leased to something that does not sleep. The historian cannot hold a cup, a pen, a name — only the sight of faces that will not stop arriving. The giant does not turn. He does not have to. The talking is the weather. Dreamless tea is not hospitality; it is a request that memory stop. It does not. The jester is small enough to be missed and too still to be decoration. From this ridge the series walks to a hull and then to a market that closed because the name was already taken.
