The Chair Has A Pulse
Key art
Dossier
Not a biography
The Codex files a high-back seat with crimson seams and gold-stud armrests as if furniture could hire a person. Night loft. Cold monitor glow. A lumbar pillow and a footrest that does not share.
What is kept is not the product. It is the opinion. She sits like the furniture hired her. He stands like the interview already ended. The leather hums. The room gets quieter. Someone lost a throne and called it jealousy.
The spine found someone. Standing is free. The archive will not list this as comedy until the chair has been treated as a third figure, because that is what the minute actually files.
Figures in the file
Nila Voss — seated
She occupies the pulse. The archive notes that she does not apply. She is already the answer the leather wanted.
Corin Dane — standing
The interview ended before he spoke. Standing is free. He remains in the file as the person who understood the furniture too late.
The throne
Primary figure. Massage in the back, a place for the legs, no interest in taking applications. The Codex names the chair before it names the couple.

Margin
Some rooms are not about who sits. They are about a seat that already chose, and a night that will not reopen the posting.
