Chrome Veins — World Book

New Cascadia and the price of memory

Watch

Permanent screening

The frame is held. Chrome Veins — World Book returns here when the film is filed.

Extended sequence

After the last shot of Chrome Veins — World Book, the room does not reset. Chrome Veins — World Book is held as a room, not a post. The extra minute belongs to new cascadia and the price of memory — dust, breath, and the decision that did not make the poster.

Figures in the frame

Who remains in Chrome Veins — World Book is the figure the title will not name. The frame keeps them at the edge on purpose. When a dossier is written it will start from this still, not from a cast list imported from elsewhere.

Codex fragment

The Codex sentence for Chrome Veins — World Book is the one the camera would not hold: Chrome Veins — World Book is held as a room, not a post. What the room already knew stays filed with the title, not with the feed.

Sound of Imagination

Chrome Veins — World Book has a frequency before any score is mastered — room tone, a held note, the residual of the still that outlived the cut. Sound of Imagination keeps that pressure even if the track is still unfiled.

Showcase

If Chrome Veins — World Book leaves the screen it leaves as an object taken from the universe: the still that outlived the cut, print, or a fragment you can hold. Not merchandise. A piece of New Cascadia and the price of memory that survived the cut.

The Craft

Chrome Veins — World Book is built still first: the image of the still that outlived the cut, then the motion that proves the still was not a pose, then the residual. The method stays visible so the room does not pretend to be a feed.

Chrome Veins World Book — New Cascadia

World Book · Draft archive text

Chrome Veins is the cyberpunk line of Aestas Infinity. Its stories are case files, not power fantasies. The city is the main character; the tracer is the instrument that refuses to stay clean.

New Cascadia

Three vertical layers

The Crown — corporate towers, filtered air, artificial daylight. Debt is abstract here.

The Stack — the middle floors where most people live. Eternal chemical rain, neon, mold, and work that never quite pays the wet off the skin.

The Root — underground levels where people, memories, and entire identities disappear without a death certificate.

The Rain

Not weather

The precipitation is an atmospheric maintenance system. It carries microscopic cleaning agents — and something that slowly softens unaugmented memory. Most citizens no longer notice. Tracers notice too late.

Memory Tracers

Nearly extinct profession

Independent Memory Tracers locate lost, stolen, buried or illegally erased memories. Foreign memories do not stay passive: they rewrite personality, induce hallucinations, and in extreme cases force the tracer to live fragments of other lives at once.

Corporate mnemo-units do the same work with cleaner licenses and dirtier ethics. Independents remain for clients the corporations will not touch — or will erase afterward.

Corporations

Efficient, not theatrical

Major houses specialize: memories, emotions, dreams, identity templates, synthetic personalities. They are not cartoon villains. They are logistics applied to the human interior.

Tone

How the line speaks

Dark. Wet. Cynical. Blackly funny. Hopeless, yet strangely alive. Signature attitude: if death is temporary, why does everyone look so permanently dead?
