Synopsis
Short logline
In the rain under a collapsed overpass, a scavenger speaks to a face that was supposed to be gone. The system deleted the identity. It failed to delete the signal.
Somewhere in the lower levels of the Wasteland Neon, between the Stack and the Root, the feeds no longer carry faces. Most channels go dark. Some don’t. They leave behind black static with a human shape still inside it — a voice that answers when no one should be left to answer.
Extended sequence
Under the overpass
Under a half-collapsed overpass, in heavy rain and broken neon, a scavenger woman stands in front of a damaged holographic broadcast pillar. On the screen, a male face made of noise and pink-cyan corruption continues to exist.
She does not ask who he was. She only notes that he is still leaking.
The system erased the name. It erased the history. It erased the polite version of the man. What remains is the irritation.
The pillar still works. Barely. Rain runs down the cracked screen. Glowing mold crawls across the metal. Oily puddles reflect the last surviving neon signs. She speaks to the static. The static speaks back. Their conversation is short, dry, and without mercy. No names. No past. Only the present noise.
When the face finally collapses into pure black interference, she does not step back. She simply watches the last sparks die in the rain.
Figures in the frame
The Scavenger Woman
Young, hard-faced, torn rain cloak, cybernetic arm that has seen better years. She does not look surprised. In the Wasteland Neon, deletion is rarely complete.
The Residual Face
Male face made of black static and pink-cyan corruption on the pillar screen. Name gone. History gone. Polite version gone. Still leaking noise.
The Broadcast Pillar
Damaged holographic carrier under the half-collapsed overpass — the last place a deleted signal still answers.

Margin note
“You’re still leaking noise.” — “They wiped the face. Left the irritation.” — “They tried to delete you.” — “They only deleted the polite version.”
Incomplete erasure. Residual identity. Cold acceptance of system failure. The irritation that survives deletion.
Sound of Imagination
Residual
Static Prayer holds residual room tone before any cue is mastered. A held tone, a room tone, a residual that outlives the cut. Sound of Imagination
