Synopsis
I'm the beast. The body that takes the question is not a row of men. It is one figure, cracked like fired stone, gold in the seams, a bare chest, a jaw that stops being comforting. The eyes are wrapped. Gold drips from the wrap. An omega sits on the brow band.
One hand holds a yellow glass sphere, lit. The other holds a red one. Both sides glow, so the balance is a costume.
Broken columns, smoke, dim vessels. The room has already lost a civilization and kept the statue.
Extended sequence
The wrap means you do not get a look back. The beast is not checking whether you agree. The two spheres do the only facing.
A crowd of natures was the promise. The minute answers with a single instrument and lets the number stay a rumour.
Figures in the frame
Black fracture, gold repair, a lattice at the throat. The hands are dark and sure. Nothing about the stance is a grin.
No animal suit, no mascot. A body simplified until it can hold two lights and a blindfold.

Same Like Me answers with an embrace and matching pins. Behind the Men answers with velvet and smoke. This one throws the crowd out and keeps the weighing.
The name is not a compliment the figure accepts. It is a job the hands are already doing.
Sound of Imagination
A low hum from lit glass. Stone dust. No voice on the question. Sound of Imagination.
Cloth on a face drinks the rest. The wrap is a quiet machine.

The question has one body left to ask it, and the body cannot blink.
