Synopsis

No person. An eye of glass and metal shards, blue, violet, orange, gold. The iris aims straight out. Letters edged in flame cross it and stop being a caption. They are part of the organ.

Under it a rose takes the lower third, petals through violet, cyan, and gold, a spiral that never becomes a natural flower. The surround is dark and faceted. The light is inside the iris.

It has begun. Of what, the glass refuses. A beginning, here, is a pupil.

Extended sequence

The rose does not open further. It has spent its motion on colour. The eye does not water, blink, or look aside.

Flame on a letter is a small fire and a large claim. The claim stands without a scene under it.

Figures in the frame

Nobody to list, which is the figure. The rose behaves like a body. The eye behaves like a will.

If you came for a cast, the cast is pigment, lead, and a flower that learned architecture.

Codex fragment

The Tarot gives an eye a human face and a crown. The arch gives an eye a machine and a hood under it. This one is the eye alone, with a rose for a lower lid.

Begun wants a war or a kiss after it. The glass keeps the shape of the word and withholds the noun.

Sound of Imagination

A high glassy ring. Flame worrying an edge. No footstep and no weather. Sound of Imagination.

An eye this large should blink loud enough to hear. It withholds the blink.

The Craft

Still: a glass iris and a spiral rose. Motion: flame along a letter. Residual: dark facets holding the light in. The Craft.

It has begun because the eye is open. That is the only clock on offer.

Showcase

Keep the rose, not the lettering. Showcase.

The letters are a name. The rose is the start that will not name its noun.
