Synopsis
A platinum undercut, her face turned up. Long platinum hair, the same black velvet, the same thin chains, the same small Gemini pin. They hold each other in a hall of red drapes and gold light.
Same like me. The grammar is wrong. The recognition is the ugly kind, the relief of a match. Overhead, two pale figures repeat the facing inside smoke and sparks.
The pins make it official. The sign does the talking the sentence is too clumsy to do.
Extended sequence
Sparks streak and do not land on the velvet. The pale pair do not join the embrace. They are the likeness that cannot touch, which makes the living pair look greedy.
A match is a closed circuit. The hall is just rich enough to disguise that as a party.
