Synopsis

She laughs with both hands up, curls the colour of cooled flame, a red dress, gold on the skin. He laughs back, blue hair, speckles on the throat, a white robe, one hand lifted and not reaching her.

A yellow lion drawn in wire floats in the gap. On his chest the urn is a blue geometry, not a body. The peaks behind them are pastel and useless as shelter.

He is seen. The seeing happens across a width neither hand closes.

Extended sequence

Blocks hang in the sky like a world that was assembled, not grown. They can be bright at each other inside it and still miss.

From further away is the width of the shot. Her hands make a shape. His hand answers from inside his own outline.

Figures in the frame

Leo, loud in red, glitter, earrings, the sign performed with the whole arm. Aquarius, cool in the face even while laughing, the urn worn like a garment.

The wire animal is the version of him she can look at without crossing. He does not step through it.

Codex fragment

The night cut of these signs is jackets and small white glyphs after the day is put down. This one keeps the colour and spends it on distance.

Being seen survives the gap. Being held is not attempted.

Sound of Imagination

Two laughs, not in unison. Air, the kind a high bright place has. No clang from the wire. Sound of Imagination.

Colour this loud ought to roar. It rustles.

The Craft

Still: two raised hands and a wire lion. Motion: the laugh, unfinished. Residual: pastel peaks that will not come closer either. The Craft.

The gap is the composition. Closing it would be a different shot.

Showcase

Keep the wire lion, not the mountains. Showcase.

The peaks are a backdrop. The lion is the distance, drawn so you can see through it.
