Synopsis

Snow in the ponytail, a scar on the cheek, a black coat with the goat picked out in gold. Her glove points at a survey covered in red lines. The codes on the paper are not poetry.

My cliff. The answer does not shove her. It bills her. Owned. Pay.

The mountains behind the pipework are only weather. The argument is the finger on the red.

Extended sequence

Ice on the rail. The map stays open. She does not fold the proof away to be polite about the rock.

The other voice does not need a second face for the bill to land. The survey is already in her hands.

Figures in the frame

One body in the frame, and that is enough. Platinum hair, black wool, a small gold hoop, the glove dark over the grid.

The pin says the sign so the claim does not have to. The scar says the rock was never a metaphor.

Codex fragment

The harbour minute is a deck, a horn, and a metal goat. This one is altitude, paper, and a price.

Ownership here is a line someone drew in red before the snow. She found it. She does not pretend she missed it.

Sound of Imagination

Wind on metal. Snow on wool. The small scrape of a glove on paper. Sound of Imagination.

The price does not get a theme. It gets the quiet after a person points.

The Craft

Still: the glove on the red grid. Motion: the mouth still open on the claim. Residual: ice on the pipe. The Craft.

The rock signs nothing. The paper already did.

Showcase

Keep the map, not the view. Showcase.

The mountains are free. The object is the survey with the cost written into it.

A cliff, a pin, a map in red. She says it is hers. The paper answers with what it costs.

Snow keeps falling on the proof. Neither of them steps back from an edge you cannot see.
