Synopsis
The glass is architecture
Aquarius Woman sets an empty glass between them and treats it as a wall that still counts. Aries Man looks through it as if emptiness could not stop a charge. The short is the comedy and the bruise of two people reading the same object as two different laws.
She is not playing coy. She is keeping a border that does not need to be loud. He is not stupid. He is built to treat a clear thing as a thing that can be crossed.
Extended sequence
Bar, cold neon, the unfilled glass
The room is ordinary until the glass becomes the plot. Condensation. A rim. Nothing inside. She speaks as if the empty volume were a sentence. He answers as if sentences were for later.
Every reach toward her has to negotiate the object. Every refusal of his has to negotiate the fact that she will not fill it just to make the night easier. The camera keeps the glass sharp when the faces want to blur.
When the minute ends the glass is still empty. That is not a stalled story. That is the story finishing what it came to say.
