They leave him the chair
In the Wasteland Neon climate the collaborators do not storm the throne. They walk out of the diner and leave the boss the seat he wanted. The cruelty is the courtesy. An empty chair at the head of a cracked table is not abdication. It is a sentence served at room temperature.
New Cascadia taught erasure. This room teaches remainder: you can keep the title after the room has decided you are no longer the weather.

Neon, cracked laminate, the unused throne
The diner still performs hospitality — pink tube, acid green, a booth that remembers better arguments. The collaborators do not make a speech. Speeches would have given the chair a scene. They put down whatever they were holding and take the dust road like people who have already filed the minutes.
He remains because the chair is the last object that agrees with him. The camera treats that agreement as comedy until it treats it as weather. Outside, the wasteland does not care who kept the head of the table. Inside, the neon keeps humming as if service were still possible.
The last held second is not his face. It is the gap between vinyl and spine — the exact width of a kingdom that no longer has a staff.
