Synopsis
Deep space. The survey ship Erebus drifts in black. A pulse begins — soft, regular, older than any chart still trusted on the bridge. Not language. Not mathematics. Something like breath held across centuries.
Ahead, in the shadow of a dead star, a planet that should not exist. The moment the ship commits, the signal stops — as if it noticed them.
Extended sequence
After the cut
The Signal keeps a minute the poster cannot carry. In the held atmosphere the corridor after the last shot is still lit. That minute belongs to the room.
Figures in the frame
Who remains
A figure stays at the edge of The Signal. Not named yet. Not extra. When the dossier is written it will begin from this frame, not from a cast list.
Codex fragment
Filed with the room
The Codex files what The Signal would not keep on the still — A pulse older than every map. Fragments
Showcase
Object from the universe
When The Signal leaves the screen it can become print, artifact, figurine, sound edition. The object is not merch. It is a thing taken out of the held atmosphere. The Showcase
The Craft
Image · motion · sound
The Signal is built in stills first, then motion, then the residual. The method stays visible so the room does not pretend to be a feed. The Craft
Filed in The Houses
The Houses · the held atmosphere
The Signal is filed under The Houses in the held atmosphere. The house keeps the climate. The climate keeps the film.
After the frame
Mark · keep · letter
Released rooms keep a mark from one to five, a keep on this device, and letters that stay with the page after the feed has moved on. The Signal is ready.
