Contraband and Crime
Key art
Synopsis
If they search us, she is contraband and he is the crime. A bar on a station at the edge of the galaxy, gold neon, crates that were never going to clear. She sits with a scorpion across her lap. He sits in a yellow jacket with two small blue figures glowing over his hand.
The signs already say restricted and illegal cargo. They are the menu. Getting locked up together, they decide, is the romantic option.
Extended sequence
The crowd is not human and is not surprised.
The floor is wet. Nobody is reaching for a mop. The blue light is the only thing in the room that looks weightless.
Figures in the frame
A woman with long black hair, a leather jacket, the scorpion across her knees.
A blond man in a patched yellow jacket, one hand near the blue light, not hiding it.
Codex fragment
