Synopsis

The people have been excused. A heavy gold mane, the head lowered. A blue-black scorpion, tail raised, pincers open, the shell like wet stone. Mist on the ground. Cloud and deep blue above.

This is the fable with the moral taken out. Neither animal is about to apologize into a person.

If you came for a crest, it is not here. They declined to wear one.

Extended sequence

The lion's eyes sit low. The scorpion's tools sit high. Between them: rock, a little fog, no referee.

A fable would speak. This minute lets the tail and the mane finish a sentence without a narrator leaning in.

Figures in the frame

Lion, warm only in the mane, large enough to be weather. Scorpion, glossed, precise, the smaller body with the better tools.

They are not soft symbols. They have weight. The rock has to hold them.

Codex fragment

The rain minute gives these signs back their coats and a hand on a lapel. Here the coats are gone. What remains does not miss the dialogue.

Do not wait for a lecture about pride. The frame did not budget one.

Sound of Imagination

A low breath from a large chest. A dry tick of a leg on rock. Wind in low mist. Sound of Imagination.

No voice explains the match. The minute is better without it.

The Craft

Still: mane against a raised tail. Motion: mist, while the animals hold. Residual: dark rock with no moral written on it. The Craft.

They face each other. That is the event, and it is enough.

Showcase

Keep the raised tail, not a crest. Showcase.

A crest would apologize. The tail does not.
