Synopsis

They laugh with the whole face. She is in a dark dress, the laugh open. He is in a black suit, jacket undone, teeth out, happier than the street deserves. Behind them the city is bokeh and a wet shine.

He blamed the floor. The line that sticks is the correction. The floor disagreed.

Nobody is down in this frame. The stumble already happened, or it did not, and the minute prefers the argument.

Extended sequence

The shine on the pavement says there was something to slip on. Their faces say the slip became a story before it became a bruise.

Leo arrives at a joke as if he owns it. Gemini arrives already rewriting the cause. The accused surface cannot answer, so the line answers for it.

Figures in the frame

Leo, dressed, delighted, not ashamed of the teeth. Gemini, bright at the mouth, the brightness that is also a correction.

They lean in. The night is blue and out of focus. The joke is sharper than the street.

Codex fragment

Other Leo minutes are rain and a lapel, or hair the fire refused to take. This one is a stumble that turned comic before anyone checked for blood.

Blame needs a surface. The pavement was available. It did not accept the role.

Sound of Imagination

A laugh that breaks. City wash, far off. A shoe finding the ground again. Sound of Imagination.

The disagreement is too large for a sting of accompaniment. The laugh already fills the street.

The Craft

Still: two open laughs. Motion: the lean toward each other. Residual: wet pavement with nobody on it. The Craft.

He named the floor. The picture shows the people.

Showcase

Keep the laugh, not the blurred lamps. Showcase.

The lamps are not the joke. The object is his face, pleased to have lost to stone.
